1329600 Treating hair D ROBERTS 2 Dec 1970 [3 Dec 1969] 57332/70 Heading D1P Also in division A5] Human hair is styled, moulded and "thickened" by application of a non-alkaline composition comprising, essentially, 0.04 to 8% by weight of glyoxal, 0.1% to the solubility limit of urea, thiourea or a mixture thereof and a cosmetic carrier, and thereafter arranging the hair in the desired style. The carrier may be water and/or a C 2-6 alkanol and the compositions preferably also comprise benzyl alcohol and/or diethylene glycol.
