Abstract

1329346 Correspondence control AUTOLOGIC Ltd 31 July 1972 [31 July 1971] 36237/71 Heading G1N A control system for moving a machine tool MT to a command position set at S1 at a command rate set at S2 comprises means producing an error signal Va dependent on the difference between the actual and desired positions, means producing a second error signal Vb dependent on the difference between the actual and desired rates, and an electrically operated transducer CT controlling an hydraulic drive for the tool, in dependence on the first error signal Va which is applied to the transducer through a current-regulating device controlled by the second error signal Vb. As shown Va and Vb are D.C. signals of polarity dependent on the sense of the error and magnitude proportional to the size of the error up to the level at which amplifiers A and B saturate. Respective transistors T 1 , T 2 control the current Ic through the transducer CT according to its polarity, T 2 receiving Vb after inversion by amplifier C. Amplifier B integrates. Diodes R1, R2 protect transistors T 1 , T 2 .
