Abstract

1328929 Utilizing waste heat TREADWELL CORP 19 April 1971 [9 June 1970] 26870/71 Heading F4B Hot waste gases from a copper converter 26 are reduced to such a temperature that the dust carried over is no longer sticky by recycling gases from a waste heat recovery arrangement. The gases are returned from a waste heat boiler 30 to a hood 27 by a fan 32. A dust extracter 31 is arranged before the waste heat boiler. The ingress of air at the hood 27 can be prevented so that sulphur rich gases may be withdrawn at 33.
