1326438 Electrically-heated liquid containers L TRACHTENBERG and P W TRACHTENBERG 21 Dec 1970 60611/70 Heading H5H [Also in Division H2] A thermally insulated container or bottle 20, e.g. for liquids, has an electric heater unit 22 adapted to receive current from either a cigar lighter socket on a vehicle dashboard or from a standard domestic socket at mains voltage. The unit 22 has two alternative heating coils 86, 94, Fig. 13, supplied either from one of two sockets 190, 192, carried by a partition 40 in a bottom compartment of the container, with a cable 160 plugged into the appropriate sockets or, alternatively, from a socket 166, Fig. 9 (not shown), which takes both kinds of plug coupling 162 or 164. In a further embodiment, Figs. 1, 5, a cable reel 28 provides a socket 32 engageable with a plug terminal assembly 34, on partition 40, connected via a thermostat 24 with the heater unit 22. The external end of the cable 39 has alternative plug couplings 126, 134, with a guard 140 for the one not in use.
