Abstract

1325062 Lampshade P W READING 7 July 1971 [7 July 1970] 32997/70 Heading B6G [Also in Division F4] A hollow globe in the form of a polyhedron and which may be used as a lampshade, is made from a multiplicity of interlocking components each comprising a piece of flexible sheet material which components interlock with each other at the edges of the polyhedron and which have portions projecting outwards beyond said edges, the components interlocking by means of slits extending part-way along the boundaries between the projecting portions and the central area defining the polyhedron. A regular dodecahedron is formed of pentagons 12 made of semi-transluscent heat-resistant card. The pentagons have a central area 13 and a segmental portion 14. Along half of each edge of the central area 13 there is a slit (15, Figs. 1 to 3, not shown) which engages a corresponding slit in another pentagon. The pentagons may be made of translucent plastics, may be black or white or decorated.
