Abstract

1324358 Aerating liquids AMES CROSTA MILLS & CO Ltd and F SANDERSON 23 Oct 1970 [8 Oct 1969] 49332/69 Heading B1C A rotor for partial immersion in waste water for its biological treatment by the bisorption process comprises a plurality of closely-spaced discs having a cellular surface. The discs may be of the same or different sizes, Fig. 16; circular, square or polygonal with straight or arcuate sides; grooved, corrugated, dished or domed (see Figs. 3-11, not shown); they may be spaced by their hubs or other protuberances which may fit in complementary recesses (see Fig. 20, not shown). They may be arranged in groups, and a rotor may consist of separate parallel shaft sections geared to rotate at the same or different speeds (see Fig. 19, not shown). Materials used may be metal, plastics, asbestos, felt, rubber or porcelain and the cellular surface formed by stamping, pressing, moulding, perforating, punching, weaving, slitting and expanding, foaming or forming into a lattice.
