1322285 Thermally insulating pipes ORDENA LENINA GLAVLENINGRADSTROI PRI LENGORISPOLKOME 8 Nov 1971 51805/71 Heading B5A [Also in Division F2] Tubular articles such as pipes are given a casing of thermally insulating, cellular concrete, by arranging the articles in a multiple-tier mould, filling the mould with cellular concrete at a pressure of (0À1-1À2) atm., curing or leaving to cure the concrete, and providing heat and moisture treatment in an autoclave at a pressure of saturated steam of (8-12) atm. for (12-14) hours. As described, metal pipes were positioned in a multi-tier mould; after filling the mould was left for 12 hours before undergoing 12 hours of treatment in an autoclave, and then the articles were left to cool in the autoclave for 1 hour. A number of examples are described.
