Abstract
1320852 Venturi Scrubbers SLICK CORP 20 April 1971 [10 June 1970] 10096/71 Heading B1R A venturi scrubber of particular application with exhaust gases from blast furnaces comprises an adjustable throat (see Fig. 1, not shown), the exposed walls of which comprises ceramic blocks of high abrasion resistance bonded to a backing plate (see Fig. 2, not shown) from which extend fixing means, e.g. bolts, the fixing means not extending through or into the ceramic block. The blocks may have stepped or tongue-and-groove edges to allow mutual engagement.
