1320731 Heating oil by contact with water SVENSKA ENTREPRENAD AB 18 June 1970 [18 June 1969] 29685/70 Heading F4K In an arrangement in which a stored body of oil 1 rests on a heated water bed 2 in a rock cavity, passageways 9 are formed around the bed 2 by partitions 11 to collect relatively cold ground water permeating through the cavity wall. The collected ground water passes to a sump (5, Fig. 2). To reduce the cooling effect of the ground water running down the cavity wall, drill holes 16 are provided opening (directly or via pipes 17) below the lowest water level in the passages 9. 3 are apertured pipes through which heated water is directed into the water bed as described in Specification 1,320,732.
