Abstract

1317655 Film cartridges EASTMAN KODAK CO 30 June 1970 [1 July 1969] 31517/70 Heading G2E A cine film cartridge with co-axial supply and take-up chambers 16, 17 has an anti-reverse mechanism associated with take-up spool 11 which may be disabled to permit back-winding for lap and dissolve photography, the mechanism comprising a ratchet toothed shuttle ring 21 slidably mounted on the cartridge for movement transversely to the spool axis, and slide member 22 with three depending resilient legs 23 which, in a first axial position on spool 11, engage the ratchet teeth, and in second, depressed, axial position on the spool disengage the teeth to allow reverse winding. Spool 11 is rotatably mounted on extension 19 of supply hub 18 and has a portion 41 on which member 22 is axially slidable by control shaft 37 in the camera 31. Member 22 is cammed into the raised operative position by inclined surfaces 26 in notches 25 which receive legs 23 in that position.
