1317465 Optical brighteners STERLING DRUG Inc 26 June 1970 [7 July 1969] 31224/70 Heading C2C [Also in Divisions C5 D1 and F4] A mixture of a crystalline optical brightener having a particle size of less than 5 microns and crystalline sodium sulphate decahydrate is obtained by mixing at 33-60‹ C. water-wet relatively large crystals of the optical brightener with approximately one molar equivalent of anhydrous sodium sulphate for each ten mols. water in the wet mass and grinding this mixture at 20-33‹ C. until the crystals are reduced to a diameter of less than 5 microns.
