Abstract

1316931 Re-texturing road surfaces BRITISH PETROLEUM CO Ltd 10 Nov 1970 [4 Sept 1969] 43889/69 Heading E1G Apparatus for re-texturing a road surface comprising aggregate and a binder includes a heater 10 to soften the upper layer to a depth of between 0.5 and 3.00 mm., and a rotary scarifying brush 12. A sweeping brush 14 and collectors 13 and 15 may also be provided. The heater 10 includes several burners. The apparatus may be self-propelled with a motor for moving the apparatus and operating the scarifying brush and sweeping brush and a carrier for any necessary fuel tanks or gas cylinders.
