1316733 Bactericide-containing compositions T V PAVLOVA I G ABELEVICH V S ETLIS and L M DEGTYAREVA 14 Aug 1971 38264/71 Heading A5B A composition for the bactericidal treatment of selected skin areas in man and for the therapy of skin diseases comprises a tetraammonium base selected from cetylpyridiniumchloride, cetylacetylpyridinium chloride and benzalkonium chloride, a solvent selected from ethanol and/or ethyl acetate and a waterinsoluble polymer compound selected from polyvinylbutral resin, polyvinylpyridine resin and homo- or copolymers of acrylates. The composition dries to form a film on the skin to which it is applied and may be used for treating surgeons' hands before operations.
