1315717 Cine projector J P SEABOURNE 24 Aug 1971 [19 Oct 1970] 49563/70 Heading G2E A dual mode cine projection can receive continuous film loop cartridges 38 on reels 18. As shown in Fig. 1 film 16 passes from supply reel 18 over drive sprockets 20, 22 and through a withdrawable gate 14. A film claw 11 operates in the region of the gate 14. For receiving the cartridge 38 projection lens 12 and gate 14 are removed and, as shown in Fig. 2, a continuous film loop cartridge 38 is located on the projection so that the claw 11 can still be used for film transport and also the same light source whose beams pass along axis 32. A second projection lens 28 and reflector 30 on arm 34 replace the lens 12 the use of a projection lens common to both modes of operation is contemplated.
