Abstract

1315014 Door hinge Y NAKANISHI 23 Sept 1970 [27 Sept 1969 (2)], 45312/70 Heading E2F A door hinge consists of two leaves 1 and 2 with hubs 3 and 4 interlocking alternately, with a pintle 5 inserted into the combined hubs. The hinge has a locking device formed by slots 6 and 7 in the inner face of hub 3 and in the outer face of pintle 5 respectively, in which a latch 8 is slidably located in slot 6. The latch may be provided with a bolt 9 and knob 10, the hinge leaves being made immovable by pushing the knob 10 and causing the latch 8 to enter the slot 7 and so lock the hub 3 and pintle 5. A second embodiment in which the latch slides in slots in the two adjacent hubs is also described.
