Thermal instruments.-The conductor of a thermic telephone is made of metal foil as described in Specification 101,996, and its parts are parallel or substantially parallel to each other. The conductor C, Fig. 2, is mounted on pegs P so that for a length L its parts are parallel. In a modification, the width of the supports are reduced so that the lengths L are slightly inclined. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, the conductor is formed in the shape of a spiral. Figs. 4, 6, and 7 show other shapes the conductor may take.
