Abstract

1312064 Radio direction-finding APPARATEBAU GAUTING GmbH 6 May 1970 Heading H4D In a radio direction-finder outputs 6, 7 derived from two spaced aerials are switched to yield a pulse train 8, the time intervals 9, 10 are measured and the difference therebetween is indicated, e.g. by a digital indicator. The aerials may be vertical dipoles by one-tenth to one-half of the operating wavelength. To compensate for varying wavelength a cable of known length may be utilized, Fig. 4 (not shown). A third aerial may be employed, a selection being made of two of the three. The bearing indicator may be a circular display of, e.g. 72 lamps.
