Abstract
1309864 Valves HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS AB 24 Nov 1970 [24 Nov 1969] 55710/70 Heading F2V A pressure reducing valve has a pre-tensioned loading spring assembly which is movable into and out of operating position. As shown, the assembly comprises a piston 15 which is responsive to the reduced pressure in an outlet chamber 4. The loading spring 18 is pre-tensioned through an abutment 19 adjustable by a screw 20 threaded into the piston. The assembly is moved into operating position by a rotatable actuator 23 having ramped recesses 25 which ride up balls 29 so as to engage the piston with a stem 10 of the valve member 9 and set the valve to operating position. The actuator engages the spring abutment through a ball and pressure plate 21, 22. The actuator 23 may alternatively have crown teeth (43) or the like, Fig. 3 (not shown), or a lever mechanism.
