Abstract

1309586 Window; door &c frames SOC ITALIANA RESINE SpA 2 July 1970 [4 July 1969] 32191/70 Heading E1J A window, door or the like frame for securing in an aperture in a wall comprises frame side members each of which consists of two longitudinal sheet metal parts 12a, 12b each having a body portion 14 of hollow box like form with a projecting arm 16, the parts being locatable in the aperture with both body portions 14 in contact with each other, and being secured together by a series of spaced connectors 28, e.g. mating screw and internally threaded sleeve 30, 32, with the arms 16 gripping and clamping the wall between them, the arm 16 of each part having a main portion 18 extending along the wall surrounding the aperture and a flange 20 extending transversely to the wall. Foamed plastics e.g. polyurethane packing material may fill the space between the body portions 14 and the wall surface. The wall may comprise prefabricated panels 10 of cement and foamed plastics and may be covered with facing layers 38 of plaster.
