Abstract

1307920 Clocks GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 5 May 1970 [7 May 1969] 21511/70 Heading G3T An alarm clock has a seven-day wheel 75 which permits operation of the alarm, without manual resetting, on preselected days of the week. The alarm comprises a resilient vibrator arm 6 driven by leakage flux from a motor core 2 and which is normally restrained by a cranked lever 28. At the preset alarm time, a slotted hour wheel 24 becomes free to move axially toward an alarm set wheel 16 allowing the vibrator arm 6 to push the lever 28 aside. The alarm may be shut off manually by moving a handle 44 on a shut-off lever 36 so that an arm 40 thereof restrains the vibrator arm 6. The day wheel 75 comprises front and rear plastics discs 88, 90 integral with an inner sleeve (87) Fig.13, (not shown) and seven operating pins 78-84 which are detentably movable in an axial direction. An arm 150 is reciprocated by a pin 152 on the hour wheel 24 to advance the day wheel 75. The rear ends of the pins 78-84 form abutments (125) which, in the rearward position of the pins, actuate a pivoted lever 85 and hence a reset arm 46 on the shut-off lever 36 to move the arm 40 away from the vibrator arm 6
