1307863 Drafting device N SCHLUMBERGER & CIE 26 June 1970 [11 July 1969] 31010/70 Headings D1D and D1N A drafting device comprises an assembly of flexible elements 1 formed by the transverse corrugation of a single strip of flexible material which is secured to supports 12, 14. Alternatively the support may be a set of rods held together by spring clips (Figs. 1 and 5), or another flexible sheet to which the waved sheet is bonded (Fig. 7), or the waved sheet and support can be an integral moulded structure (Fig. 9). Reinforcing rods may be present. The rods may be used to drive the sheet or it may be driven by rollers around which it passes. The device may be used in the textile machine described in Specification 1232919.
