1306237 Clamps BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDERS CABLES Ltd 15 July 1971 [15 July 1970] 34339/70 Heading E2B A fastening for supporting an overhead traction wire 6 comprises a pair of plastics plates 1, 2 which have mutually interengaging pins and holes 7, 8 and which have normally open jaws 4, 5 which are held closed, Figs. 1 and 4 by an H-shaped plastics member 3 whose bar 17 passes through holes 11 in the plates and whose upper limbs 15, 16 hold the plates together and whose lower limbs 13, 14 hold the jaws in the gripping position. The bar 17 is so shaped that it turns with snap-action in the hole 11 and pips 18 enhance this action. Stiffening ribs 19, 20 may be provided on the plates.
