Abstract

1301805 Electric couplings MALLEYS Ltd 8 June 1971 [23 June 1970] 19442/71 Heading H2E [Also in Division D1] In an electric hand-iron of the kind having a terminal compartment formed between the rear wall 10 of a handpiece 7 and a cover-plate 13, side walls 11 of the compartment extend to upper edges 23, and the compartment is closed by a flexible sheet member 28 integral with a cable sheathing sleeve 27, the front and rear edges of the member 28 being slidably located in grooves 24, 25 to enable the position of sleeve 27 to be angularly adjusted between wall edges 23. Member 28 may be slidable against friction in grooves 24, 25, but preferably teeth 29 in the front edge of member 28 co-operate with teeth on a spring-loaded button 30 to latch the sleeve 27 in a desired angular position. Alternatively, (Figs. 5, 6 (not shown) teeth (29A) projecting downwards from the back edge of member 28 co-operate with teeth (32A) on a spring-loaded button (30A) on the cover-plate (13A).
