Abstract

1300156 Optical systems XEROX CORP 26 March 1970 [28 March 1969] 14646/70 Headings G2H G2A and G2J A stationary original on a platen 16 is line-byline imaged on to a moving photo-conductive web 10 by an optical system 20; system 20 comprising three strips 22, 24, 26 of lens elements and a prism 30 arranged to form a right reading image on web 10. System 20 is moved in the same direction as and at half the speed of web 10 during copying. Prism 30 may be a Dove prism or a V-shaped prism (74) Fig.3 (not shown). System 20 preferably includes an aperture stop 40 and a field stop 42.
