Abstract

1299631 Magnetic mine sensing system BOFORS AB 9 March 1970 [26 March 1969] 11279/70 Heading B7A A magnetic mine has a sensing system comprising two spaced sensing elements 1, 2 each producing an output signal in response to changes in the magnetic field surrounding the mine, a difference measuring device 3 to which the output signals from both sensing elements are applied and which produces a difference signal depending on the difference between the output signals from the sensing elements. Device 4 produces a reference signal representing changes in the magnetic field surrounding the mine and element 5 is a release device combined with a comparison device which receives the difference signal and the reference signal to make the release device effective at a predetermined relation between the signals, thereby causing the mine to detonate.
