1296461 Break spinning WILHELM STAHLECKER GmbH 13 Jan 1970 [13 Jan 1969] 1643/70 Heading DID In a break spinning machine the fibre feed 5 to the spinning chamber 3 is passed through a slidable element 1 which moves to divert the fibre feed to a discharge chamber 9 when a fault occurs. As shown, the slide element has two passageways 1a; 1b. Passageway 1a connects the feed to the chamber 3 during normal operation. When a fault occurs the chamber 3 is rotated by solenoids so that passageway 1b connects the feed to the-discharge chamber 9. In alternative embodiments, the rotational axis of the slidable element 1 and the spinning chamber are not aligned, and the slidable element 1 is movable longitudinally.
