1292275 Toilet seats F J SHASKY and R A GOODCHILD 25 Nov 1969 [26 Aug 1968] 40737/68 Heading E1C A toilet seat includes an upper body-contacting portion or cover of expanded polystyrene or of microporous material or compacted fibrous particles formed with a smooth impervious surface which can be wiped clean, the upper portion being fitted by a releasable press fit on to the upper rim or part of a toilet bowl so as to be in flush contact over the greater part of the area of the seat. The releasable press fit is preferably obtained by the provision of overlapping rims or lips, abutment pieces, or lug inserts.
