Abstract
1291832 Gas turbine jet engines; re-heat control JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd 3 Feb 1970 [21 Nov 1968] 55213/68 Heading F1J [Also in Division G3] The output member of a servomotor system comprises a differential piston 11 provided with bores 17, 19, 20 co-operating with grooves 18, 21 in independently movable input members 16, 15, and the piston is housed in a cylinder 10 provided with an inlet 22 and throttled outlet 23. In the preferred embodiment the piston operates a control valve supplying fuel to the re-heat system of a jet engine (not shown), input member 15 is pilot controlled and input member 16 is operated in response to movements of vanes varying the nozzle area and controlled by another servomotor system (not shown) responsive to changes in combustion chamber pressure. In operation the quantity of fuel fed to the re-heat system is limited in accordance to nozzle area. Specification 1291831 is referred to.
