1291777 Bags W R GRACE & CO 4 Nov 1970 52467/70 Heading A4G A limp, flexible bag comprises opposed registered front and rear walls of limp, flexible sheet polyethylene joined along registered side and bottom edges, a stiff suspension member 30 e.g. of polyethylene, having a base 32 and suspension means 38 projecting upwardly from the base, a surface of the base including a plurality of raised portions and being heat-fused to one of the walls, with the raised portions bonded to the wall, the area of fusion between the base and the wall being smaller than the zone defined by the raised portions jointly, the area lying within the zone. As shown, the suspension means may be inserted into a slit in the other wall, and the wall folded over to close the bag. Various other forms of suspension means are described, Figs.6, 8 and 11 (not shown).
