1291018 Railway vehicle undercarriages KNORR-BREMSE GmbH 19 April 1971 [26 Jan 1970] 20423/71 Addition to 1246688 Heading B7L [Also in Division G4] The parent Specification is modified in that when the angular velocity signal w or -w has fallen off a first or second control signal SL or SR is delivered when a tilt sensitive switch 32 indicates that the longitudinal plane through a sprung part and an unsprung part of the vehicle are deflected from each other in one or other direction by more than a minimum value. As described an inverter circuit 80 receives signals from both contacts of the tilt sensitive switch 32. A negative differentiating circuit 83 receives an input whenever an angular velocity signal w or -w is present. The circuits 80, 83 are connected to a bi-stable 84 the output of which is connected to AND gates 77, 78, the bi-stable being normally kept in a first state of the output of inverter 80. When the angular velocity drops to zero the output of circuit 83 switches the bi-stable if one of the contacts of switch 32 is energized. One of the gates 77 or 78 is then enabled to deliver the signal SR or SL to cause erection of the vehicle through its inclination adjusting means. This ensures that if the speed of the vehicle drops while travelling in a curve or if the vehicle whilst still tilted passes from a curved to a straight section a control signal is derived to erect the vehicle.
