Abstract
1288083 Tube mills CEMENTA AB and SKEGA AB 13 Oct 1969 [11 Oct 1968] 50195/69 Heading B2A A lifting element 1 for a tube mill has fixing holes 2 parallel with the mill axis but one 4 or two opposite sides 8, 9 inclined at an angle thereto, varying from 0.5‹ to 15‹. Where the larger angles are used the element has a saw-tooth shape 10. The use of the lifter tends to cause larger balls to remain at the input end 12, Fig. 5, and lighter balls at the exit end 13. To prevent clogging of a sieve 15 by small worn balls the lifters 16 may be reversed at the exit end so that the small worn balls migrate somewhat towards the input end.
