Abstract

1286872 Sealing bearings SVENSKA KULLAGERFABRIKEN AB 21 April 1969 20248/69 Heading F2A A rolling bearing is provided with a seal which consists of an annular disc 8 which engages sealingly with the inner race 14, and has an axially extending flange 6 which carries a portion 1 which is located in a groove formed in the seating surface of the outer race 4, the portion extending radially outwardly of the seating surface so that when the bearing is mounted in its housing 5 the portion is compressed between the housing and the groove. The disc is preferably of elastic material. In one embodiment (Fig. 7, not shown) the disc is provided with a metal reinforcing washer.
