Abstract
1286701 Pyridophenones; benzodiazepines SUMITOMO CHEMICAL CO Ltd 10 Feb 1970 [12 Feb 1969 13 March 1969 (2) 2 April 1969 14 April 1969] 6423/70 Heading C2C Pyridophenone and benzodiazepine derivatives are prepared by the following route: (R 1 = H, halogen, N0 2 , CF 3 ; R 2,3 =H, halogen, C 1-4 alkyl; R=H, C 1-4 alkyl), compounds (I)- (III) and (VI) optionally being isolated as acid addition salts. The phenylhydrazine (VII) may be used in the form of a salt, and the pyridylpyruvic acid or ester (VIII) may be replaced by its N-oxide, in which case the N-oxides of compounds (VI) and (IV) are obtained. The N- oxide of (VI) may be isolated as a salt.
