1285152 Fluid pressure brakes B E JAKOBSSON 26 Jan 1971 3237/71 Heading F2F A single circuit pneumatic braking system for motor vehicles comprising a compressor and pressure tank 1 and brake actuators 7, each consisting of a piston dividing a cylindrical housing into two chambers and mechanically connected to the brake and so arranged that positive pressure in one chamber compresses a spring against a transverse wall, which spring applies the brake upon decrease of pressure, has a valve mechanism 4 operated by a pedal 3 or hand brake 9a which simultaneously closes communication between the tank 1 and the chamber of actuator 7 and opens communication between the latter and atmosphere to lower pressure so that the spring can apply the brake.
