Abstract

1285141 Making gear pumps; motors ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 16 Jan 1970 [16 Jan 1969] 2157/70 Heading B3A [Also in Division F1] A housing for a gear pump or gear motor (see Division F1) is made from an extruded profiled section by a method which includes producing the external configuration of the housing by pressing the section in a direction normal to the direction of crystal orientation of the section. The housing has a cavity 2 formed by two overlapping circular bores at least one end of which is open. The cavity may be formed simultaneously with the external configuration in a press or may be machined after forming the external configuration. The material used is preferably an aluminium alloy.
