Abstract

1284785 Camera control systems CANON K K 26 Nov 1970 [29 Nov 1969] 56190/70 Heading G2A A flip-flop circuit FF controls through one branch the film wind WF of a camera, and through another branch the shutter release RS, a pulser P picking up a signal from either branch to change over the flip-flop circuit to its alternative state. When the main switch SM is closed the initial conditioner conditions the flip-flop circuit. On operating the camera release RC the shutter release RS is actuated, and after the shutter action is completed, a detecting means DR receives a signal from RS and transmits it to the pulser P. This changes over the flip-flop circuit from its initially conditioned state of actuating the shutter release controller circuit CR to the state of actuating the film wind controller circuit CW. This delivers its output to the film wind means WF under the control of the release RC. When the wind is completed, the detecting means DW receives a signal from the winding means WF which is passed to the pulser P to change the flipflop circuit back to its original state. Fig. 5 (not shown) is a diagram of the electrical circuit, provision being made for changing from single frame to multi-frame exposure by means of a switch (S5) actuated by the shutter release button (22), this switch by-passing a switch (S4) for shutting off the motor (1). Fig. 3 (not shown) is a mechanical arrangement in which a motor drives a pinion (2) and hence the film winding means (6), and illustrates how, when the drive ceases, an arm (10) is pivoted against a spring (11) to close a switch (S1 which gives a pulse to the flip-flop circuit, so reversing it. This mechanism is replaced by electrical circuitry in the diagram of Fig. 6 (not shown).
