Abstract

128,449. Hunt, W. July 30, 1918. Ladders.-To prevent the ladder from slipping at the foot, it is provided with a wedge-shaped block b, having plane faces, which is pivotally connected by links c to the sides a<1> of the ladder, so that it can be placed beneath the ends of the ladder as shown or turned upwards as shown in dotted lines when not required for use. If desired, the movement of the links c may be limited by staples driven into the sides of the ladder.
