Abstract

1283036 Nut A L PIKE 4 Nov 1969 [7 Nov 1968] 52712/68 Heading F2H [Also in Division H2] A securing device for an electrical fitting or component comprises a nut 1 with a part-turn of a helical washer 9 attached so that a free end 11 of the washer will scrape and therefore clean an underlying surface during tightening down to afford good electrical contact therewith. Preferably the washer is spot welded to the nut as at 10.
