Abstract

1282912 Polyvalent vaccines for immunization against local gastro-intestinal infections SCHERING AG 11 Aug 1969 [10 Aug 1968] 39983/69 Heading A5B Polyvalent vaccines suitable for oral administration comprising deactivated pathogens of at least two different genera, each of the deactivated pathogens being capable of providing immunity against a local gastrointestinal infection, may be prepared by mixing the pathogens together either before or after their deactivation. The deactivated pathogens may be deactivated Salmonellae, Shigellae and/or dyspepsia - Coli bacteria. Pharmaceutical preparations comprise the polyvalent vaccine in admixture or conjunction with a carrier suitable for oral administration and may be in the form of capsules, tablets, pastilles, suspensions in a physiologically tolerable solution and foodstuffs.
