Abstract
1281897 Photographic exposure control ASAHI KOGAKU KOGYO K K 2 July 1969 [3 July 1968 20 May 1969] 33389/69 Heading G2A A photographic exposure control system comprises a photo-conductor 101 connected to provide a voltage dependent upon illumination intensity; a timing capacitor 103 which is charged at a rate depending upon one or more conditions other than illumination intensity (e.g. by adjusting a resistor 114 according to film speed); and means (e.g. a switching circuit 104) for providing a shutter closing signal when the voltages across the photoconductor 101 and capacitor 103 bear a predetermined relation. An electromagnet 105 preferably actuates the shutter. For SLR cameras, the voltage across photo-conductor 101 may be stored in a memory capacitor 113 on shutter release. Figs.5, 6 (not shown) depict transistor switching circuits and include a diaphragm (216), positional in front of the photo-conductor (201) and adjusted according to film speed or camera diaphragm setting, and a resistor (214) adjusted according to film speed or diaphragm setting to control charging of the timing capacitor (203). An ammeter (not shown) may be included to indicate exposure, its scale being displaced an amount depending on film speed setting.
