1281702 Electrotherapeutic apparatus K GRAUVOGEL 11 June 1969 [11 June 1968] 29646/69 Heading A5R A method of providing beneficial electric fields in rooms or other enclosed spaces comprises superimposing a repeated program of pulse trains of controllable frequency and duration on a d.c. field and/or varying the d.c. field. The variation prevents the fatigue which occurs when the human body accustoms itself to a program of regular pulses. The pulses may vary in frequency, duration, shape and/or amplitude. Different pulse sequences may be selected by a switching arrangement or may be reproduced from a recording on magnetic tape, and a particular sequence may be selected to suit a particular person. The program can be inactivated for variable periods to provide conditions suitable for night or rest hours.
