Abstract

1281635 Bridge output circuits DEFENCE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR 5 Aug 1971 [5 May 1970] 21536/70 Heading G1U An arrangement for displaying a signal from a circuit (e.g. a bridge) which is to to adjusted to multiply the signal, includes a variable gain section comprising attennators 2, 6 inter-leaved with amplifiers 4, 8, a rectifier 10 which provides a first signal to a D.C. amplifier 14, a variable resistor 16 and an indicator 18, and a second signal 12 which both controls the attennators 2, 6, so that their attennation decreases as the output from the rectifier decreases, and actuates a threshold circuit 20 when the signal 12 falls below a pre-set level to energize a relay 22 thereby shorting the resistor 16 and increasing the sensitivity of the display. A lamp 24 is provided to indicate to an operator when the display is set to its more sensitive mode.
