Abstract

128,088. Lee, E. S. June 24, 1918. Moving - chamber apparatus; for granular material.-A machine for depositing seeds at intervals comprises a rotary cylindrical or spherical receptacle 1 provided with internal interchangeable cups or pockets 8 which lift the seeds and drop them into a funnel 10 or the like from whence they pass to a delivery tube 11 through a hollow part of the stationary axle 2 and through a tubular projection 3 on the receptacle 1. Rotation of the receptacle is effected by a crank-disk 4 operated by a connecting-rod and a crank on the spindle of the supporting wheels or rollers. According to the Provisional Specification,.the axle rotates with the receptacle and the cups deliver the seeds into a dish which is weighted so as to hang vertically.
