1279804 Selective signalling COURTAULDS Ltd 19 Nov 1969 [20 Nov 1968] Heading G4H A rotating member (not shown) having an optical discontinuity is sensed by a probe 2 consisting of the ends of a bundle 1 of light fibres, which are bifurcated at their other ends 4, 5 so as to carry light from a source 6 to the member, and light reflected by the member to a photo-electric cell 7, output pulses from the cell passing to a counter 9 and being used to control the intensity of the light 6.
