1279715 Screens CREATIVE ENVIRONMENTS Inc 6 Oct 1969 48939/69 Heading A4U A partitioning screen device comprises a housing having a base 4 and a top 6 between which are mounted boards 10, 12, 14, 16 arranged in cruciform fashion, and flexible blinds 18 on spring- tensioned rollers, the blinds being controlled to partition a table surface on which the housing is placed. An elastic member 50, formed of a tightly coiled spring, is anchored in a rod 30, sleeved in the free end of the blind, and has a ring 54 engageable over a threaded bolt 42 of a holding member 36, which is clamped to the edge of one of the boards in the rolled position of the blind, and to an edge of the table in the unrolled position of the blind. The base 4 and the holding member have apertures 32, 44 to receive the end of the rod 30. The base 4 has suction feet to secure it to the table surface and two devices may be used to divide a large table surface into six areas by utilising the aperture 32 in one base to receive one of the rods 30 of a blind extending from the other base.
