Abstract

1279579 Bi-stable circuits ITT INDUSTRIES Inc 19 April 1971 [16 April 1970] 26302/71 Heading H3T A bi-stable circuit comprises two crosscoupled transistors T1, T2 and an additional transistor T41 of complementary type to transistors T1, T2 having its collector connected to the collector of T1, its base to the collector of T2 and its emitter to a power line via a resistive impedance R. Thus the resistive impedance serves as the load for both transistors T1, T2 via the collector-emitter and emitter base paths of T41. A further additional transistor T42 may be added as shown. The resistive impedance may be a resistor or a transistor constant current source. Control transistors T21, T22 of like conductivity type as transistors T1, T2 may be connected in shunt with transistors T1, T2 as shown and auxiliary transistors T31, T32 of like conductivity type as transistors T41, T42 may be used for steering. Signals are capacitively applied via reverse biased diodes D1, D2. Respective resistors may be connected in series with the base circuits of T31, T32. When two additional transistors are used, the impedance R may serve several bi-stables. The circuit may be integrated.
