Abstract

1278988 Lighters BRAUN AG 18 Nov 1969 [21 Nov 1968] 56368/69 Addition to 1265984 Heading F4F In a modification of the invention claimed in parent Specification, a magnetic igniter system has an armature 2 which is capable of being swung by a torsion rod 3 about a yoke 1 of the magnetic igniter system. As shown, the torsion rod 3 is carried in bearings 31 and 32 and is fastened along an edge of the armature which is thereby rotatable about an axis constituted by this edge, but in another embodiment the axis of rotation of the swingable armature is located outside the armature. The rod 3 may be provided with a projection (Fig. 3, not shown) for urging the armature away from the yoke, and there may be provided a non-ferromagnetic abutment arranged to one side of the armature 2 towards which the armature is capable of being displaced (Fig. 3, not shown).
