Abstract
1278787 Diazepinoindoles McNEIL LABORATORIES Inc 5 June 1969 [5 June 1968 28 May 1969] 28490/69 Heading C2C Compounds of the general formulµ (R=H, C 1-6 alkoxy, Cl, F; R<SP>1</SP>=H, C 1-6 alkyl, Ph; R 1 =H, C 1-6 alkyl, di-(C 1-6 alkyl) amino- (C 1-6 alkyl), di-(C 1-6 alkyl) amidomethyl, PhCH 2 , p-tolylmethyl; R<SP>11</SP>=H, C 1-6 alkyl, di-(C 1-6 alkyl) amino-(C 1-6 alkyl), PhCH 2 , p-tolylmethyl, C 1-6 alkanoyl) and their acid addition salts are prepared by the following routes: optionally followed by reduction, introduction of a 2-substituent and/or salt formation. The starting materials are prepared by the following route: Some of the above compounds are hypotensive agents, some are central nervous system depressants and some are pulmonary vasodilators.
