Abstract

1277580 Milling textiles BROWN & GREEN Ltd 24 Oct 1969 [25 July 1968] 35650/68 Heading D1P Textile goods, e.g. containing wool are agitated with an organic solvent, e.g. per- or trichloroethylene, containing added water and an emulsifying agent, e.g. sodium dodecylbenzene sulphonate, at a temperature of 50-80‹C. Suitably up to 5% water, based on the goods, is used. The goods may be pretreated to absorb 2-5% water, e.g. by spraying or steam treatment or by immersion in an organic solvent/ water emulsion. The treated goods may be centrifuged and hot-air treated.
