Abstract

1277537 Building ships MITSUI SHIPBUILDING & ENG CO Ltd 14 Dec 1970 [20 Dec 1969] 59289/70 Heading B7S Ship sections 4 are prefabricated in rotary frames 1 from which they are tranferred, via a dock side rollerway 5 and a tippler 7, to rollerways (12) on the bottom of the dock which enable the sections to be moved together for assembly. Figs 5-8 (not shown) illustrate a tippler in which the sections are supported on a tipping rollerway (22) and a ram (23) engages the lowermost side of the frame during tipping to prevent it falling off the rollerway.
